If Joe Filibusters Kick Him Out Of The Caucus

I'm with most of you I'd assume in that I feel like Joe Lieberman should have been kicked out of the caucus a long time ago. But, damn it, we as a party and a majority have no backbone if his gavels are not ripped from his hands once he makes history by filibustering with the opposition

To the fold!

This will be a fairly short diary because there really isn't any negative to be found in kicking Joe to the curb. It will reduce our caucus to 59. No more media stupidity about our "filibuster proof majority". We won't have it, and the focus and story of the day can go back to us regaining it in 2010.

If we throw Joe out, he's very likely to go caucus with the Republicans and fairly likely to just (finally) go make that switch. Think of it, no Joe Lieberman in the 2012 Connecticut Senate primary. A fair fight this time around, the Republican (Joe Lieberman) vs the Democrat (whoever we choose). Unlike last time...

It would remove Fox News favorite "Independent Democrat" from the table. They could go back to chasing Ben Nelson.

It's pretty simple folks. A strong majority cannot constantly bend over and take it. It's time for the Democratic party to do what it should have done in 2006. Get rid of Joe.
